Both Misty & Dave are leaders in the Les Mills group exercise scene with oer 40 years experience between them - so this is your chance to experience two masters of the field at work!

Resistance training is so much more than muscle building or toning!
Did you know you burn more calories if you have more muscle? = FASTER WEIGHT LOSS! Weight training increases your ratio of active tissue which changes your metabolism. So the more you build muscle, the more energy you burn during rest.
It goes without saying that better muscle condition creates a stronger support for your joints, preventing injury. The aesthetic benefits are also obvious. But did you know that resistance training also improves mood, sleep & energy? There are many more reasons why you should get the dumbbells out and join this session but just these reasons already make it a no brainer!!

Dave provides you with technical instruction during these sessions however if you are a weights beginner, or you would like to hone your lifting skills further, click below to see our range of technique videos.
EQUIPMENT:
Women using dumbbells – weight range is 3kgs for beginners, 5kgs for advanced.
Women using a barbell – 10kg (5 kilos each side)
Men using dumbells – 5kgs for beginners, 7.5kg for the conditioned guys.
Men using a barbell – 20kg (10 kg each side)
If you don't own a set of barbells or dumbells, that's no excuse!! Head to our "pantry weights" instructional video to learn how to create your own set of weights from items already in your home.
